HECTOR FONSECA: It would have to be Lady GaGa, “Poker Face.” I just remixed it, and I like listening to the original and my mix. I’m just submitting it right now to the label, but I’m going to preview it on the White Party website, because I’m deejaying their party in Palm Springs in April. I love Lady GaGa. She’s a New York party girl.

What was the last DVD that you bought?
The last DVD that I bought? Um…Latin Boyz In Brazil Volume 4? [Laughs] Can I say that? I think the last DVD I bought was probably a porn.

Hmmm. Why not all of them? [Laughs]

Describe the first time someone recognized you when you weren’t deejaying.
That was a while ago. I think I was in Toronto, which is one of my residencies. I was out with friends in a club, and I was making out with someone in the corner. I was trying to let loose and unwind and have fun. And then I noticed someone taking a picture and [he?] was like, “You’re DJ Hector Fonseca,” and I was like, “Oh, shit, maybe I shouldn’t have been doing that. Got caught red-handed!” [Laughs]
