ASHLYNE HUFF’S “White Flag” might be one of your favorite club hits at the moment and you may not have even known it. Or should we say, known her. A newbie on the music scene, this new sensation says she’s ready to save the world by making clubs dance and rolling up her sleeves for community service. We caught up with Ashlyne after her video shoot to talk gay boyfriends, club shows and dance queens.
Have you thought about getting involved with equal rights causes?
I’m all for it! My biggest thing with equal rights is that I don’t think it needs to be this type of war. I think everyone is the same. It’s hard to see someone as different when it comes to equal rights. I think everyone should be able to get married if they want. And Portia and Ellen are my favorite couple ever! They are so cute.

You’ve been playing a lot of club shows lately. Do you like the closeness with your fans that you get in those settings?
All venues have their own excitement factor, but there’s nothing like a smaller venue. It’s all me! If I’m having a great time, then the audience is having a really good time, too. There’s a lot of energy in a smaller-venue setting.
