AGE: 33
JOB: Bartender
THEME SONG: “Real Good Man” by Tim McGraw. I love to have fun, play hard and live life in the fast lane.
HIDDEN TALENT: Acting. I just haven’t been able to prove it (yet)!
PICK-UP LINE: If I told you, it wouldn’t work anymore.
INSTINCT: Fave thing about your job?
The people I work with are amazing and very inspirational.
Sexiest thing about a guy?
Being yourself—don’t try to be something or someone you aren’t.
If you had a time machine, when would you go?
March 2006 to say thank you and goodbye to a good friend.
Fave places here?
Scandals, of course, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, the nearby towns of Hot Springs and Black Mountain, and Asheville’s many sidewalk cafés and coffeehouses.
Best way for a reader to get your attention at Scandals?
Be nice and tip big! [Laughs] Liking country music is an A-plus.

Are you serious Instinct? A shirtless bartender who is inspired by the people he works and likes big tips . . . every gay man's dream, right? Such hard-hitting questions too. This guy comes across as interesting as a Bud Light.

I think he's charming and sexy?WOOF!!

I agree with James. This is the best you could come up with? There are PLENTY of good looking, INTERESTING, and ACCOMPLISHED, THOUGHT_PROVOKING gay men out there and with a reader base as large and as specific as yours this just strikes me as laziness on your part, Instinct.

I'm sure he answer the questions he was asked. I agree with koby. James, let's see your "hot" bod in a national magazine.
Got the balls????

Looks like a very together guy. Totally hot, yet seems like he knows what he wants and can probably get it. Very hot for your average guy. Which I think is so sexy. You guys that want to rag on scott need to seek professional help. I'm rally sorry you are so sad and pathetic. Scott is rally hot. Period!!!

Last time I checked Bud Lite was very popular. As for James "not". Get a life James, you are pathetic. I would much rather see someone real than the fabricated "gay" icons most magazine feed the gay community. Bravo to INSTINCT for seeing life the way it really is. Scott you are truely a gay mans man. Don't change.

Truth is, to be bachelor of the month all you have to do is know the photo editor or one of his friends. It's not like there is some huge application process. It's based on luck and chance.
I know Scott and this was totally last minute and came about almost out of no where. Notice how all the questions are different from bachelor to bachelor? It's farmed out to different people and of course they use their friends. No offense to Scott, but Instinct really isn't all that professional of a magazine to really consider this an honor.
He's a great guy and he answered a lot of questions. They've painted him exactly the way they wanted a bartender to look. Oddly, I agree with James and Cory. They have this great guy and the best they can do with him is this? What a waste.

I think Scott is hot, simple, nice and laid back. I think some of you guy's (i.e. James and Corey) need to get a life! Realize that accomplished and interesting (like art) are in the eye's of the beholder. You go Scott and keep up the good looks and nice personality. There aren't any many of us out there anymore...hint hint.

Perhaps there's an expectation that as a "national" publication Instinct should be held to a higher standard than a local "bar rag" when picking a featured bachelor. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with the person they have chosen (Scott Thomas) or the occupation he holds, I for one would like to see more substance and thought put into the process instead of running to press to hit a deadline or fill space in the magazine. Content for the sake of content is a local market mentality. If Instinct is to survive a very competitive industry more focus should be placed on the quality of the publication. Otherwise it will be considered a national "bar guide" type magazine with pretty pictures. Just a thought.

I dunno. The fact that he isn't the CEO of some international corporation strikes me as very pleasant and down-to-earth. Kind of guy you can level with; who won't overthink things.
And hooray for Country Music. Gotta love this guy.
