Kish-1

Sad news coming out of Llanview. Our favorite gay couple of daytime will be leaving One Live To Live—at least for the time being—as of April. Our December 09/January 10 cover stud Scott Evans and his co-star Brett Claywell may have been popular with the GLBT community and critics alike, but apparently the storyline wasn't resonating with mainstream America, according to TV Guide.

“We are concluding the story that we set out to tell with Kyle and Fish,” says executive producer Frank Valentini. “We are very proud to have broken new ground with a same-sex couple on daytime.”

Ground was certainly broken, but now they're just breaking hearts with this news! Reps for the show, however, say that this doesn't mean the characters are done with the show for good. It is a soap, after all. If people can come back from the dead, certainly they can come back for a visit.

Will you still tune in to a KISH-less One Live To Live?

This is the worst news I've heard all day.

I would rather they write the couple off the show having completed a good story arc than draw it out and have it become a joke like the Luke & Noah thing.

Sad to see it go, but at least the writers kept it classy and a viable representation of the community while it lasted.
