Jay Z's already spoken out, now another huge name in hip-hop is voicing his support for Frank Ocean's coming out.
50 Cent, who's had his own "evolution" when it comes to pro-gay support, gives us his 2 cents after the jump!
50 Cent tells MTV UK, "Anyone that has an issue with Frank Ocean is an idiot," 50 said. "I think Frank Ocean is a talented artist, I think he's created material that made me know his name, that impressed me, with things he said on a song like 'Novacane.' I could care less about what his personal preference is in his bedroom."
50 Cent also acknowledged the risk in Frank Ocean choosing to come out with his new album, Channel Orange, scheduled for release.
He continues, "It could be revolutionary, or it could be a tragedy. The results of how popular it is now will say how cool or uncool it is to be [out] in the open... the more successful that project is now, it's gonna leave people in a position where they can actually say 'Look, I'm gay.'"
50 Cent cites President Obama as the motivator behind his own aforementioned evolution on gay rights. He explains, "Obama is for same sex marriage. When the President is saying that, who am I to go the other way? It's cool."
We'll take it.
