In a deal that leaves millions of aging gays who have moved on from using "boi" in their screenames filled with envy, Abercrombie & Fitch have offered the cast of Jersey Shore a paycheck to stop wearing the brand. Details follow.

"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's {The Situation] association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans," an Abercrombie & Fitch spokesperson said in a statement. "We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response."

Though I'm enraged enough that the entire cast of Jersey Shore garner huge checks for doing absolutely nothing, this is one payday I think they should accept.

I've heard that the show is crap (I've never seen it, and don't care to) but when a company (pick one, any one) offers to PAY you to stop advertising... ummm... that's a clear indication that you and your program totally suck. They should take the money and run... and never wear A&F again.

I find it laughable that they are more concerned about some narcissistic reality show "celebrity" tarnishing their image, when A&F was fined in 2010 for violation of child labor laws and refuses to speak out on human rights violations. They were also sued for racial and gender discrimination and paid out $50 million in a 2005 settlement. No, "The Situation" is more of a threat to them, not their penchant for being racists and child exploiters.
