Well here's a little intolerance in action.
AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland was left stranded this weekend at Cleveland LGBT Pride, when their float's driver, Tim, realized he'd be driving his truck in a gay Pride parade.
More after the jump!
The truck and trailer were offered by a local company, Mr. Excavator; presumably they didn't know they were sending a homophobe out to drive it.
Judith Pindell, director of public policy for the AIDS Taskforce explains, “When the driver realized that he was going to be driving for the gay pride parade, he then stormed off and drove away, leaving us without a float this morning."
He also allegedly yelled obscenities as he drove off. Charming!
Tracey Jones, CEO of the AIDS Taskforce, said, “It was really hard for us because today is so much about equal rights for all and the celebration of difference and the important of acknowledging who you are, and for him to drive away and kind of leave us high and dry was disappointing."
Still, you can't keep creative gays down!
The group found a replacement float and ended up winning the first-place prize for "Best Float."
