He says it has nothing to do with the rumored catfight with Tyra Banks, but Andre Leon Tally has confirmed that he is leaving America's Next Top Sears Catalogue Hand Model Model. So, who will fill the Vogue editor's seat at the judging table?
People reports reality-TV star (The Hills) and fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone will replace Andre.
Says Andre about his departure from ANTM:
“It’s all good in the neighborhood. I had a fabulous time. It was a mutual agreement. There is no unhappiness, at all.”
Cutrone is thrilled to head back to reality TV, telling People, "Having worked in various aspects of the fashion industry over the course of my career, I am excited for this new opportunity and hope to bring a different perspective to the show."
Yea, yea, everyone's happy for Cutrone and all, but there's a good chance Andre's departure signals the beginning of the end for ANTM. Couldn't the show have selected someone who shares Andre's calibre of flare to assume his caftan? Oh, I don't know, any one of RuPaul's former Drag Racers would've been a better choice, and I'm sure some aren't exactly turning down work offers.
How do you feel about Kelly replacing Andre? Can you think of anyone else that would have made for a better ANTM selection?
