You know, if more of Anna Paquin's True Blood co-stars (specifically the males) came out as bisexual, we'd be very happy viewers.
And stalkers.
(We're looking at you Alexander Skarsgard, Joe Manganiello, and Ryan Kwanten.)
Still, we love that Anna's been vocal about her membership in the LGBT club. She opens up more about this "minor biographical detail" after the jump!
In an interview with Zooey magazine, she doesn't dodge the topic, saying, "I'm sure for some people saying they’re bisexual feels less scary than making a statement that they're gay. For me, it’s not really an issue because I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It’s not made up. It’s not a lack of decision."
She continues, "It’s not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I’ve heard at this point. For a bisexual, it’s not about gender. That’s not the deciding factor for who they’re attracted to."
Paquin initially came out as bisexual in a Cyndi Lauper's LGBT public service campaign "Give A Damn."
When asked whether she has any concerns about coming out and its impact on her privacy, she answers, "Absolutely not. I think it’s a really minor biographical detail. If you’re going to talk about some cause in a way that’s meaningful, you should identify why it means something to you."
Paquin is married to True Blood co-star, Stephen Moyer and is pregnant with her first child.
