We’re not sure what marriage smells like, but apparently the Manhattan based perfumery, Bond No. 9, has bottled it up and will have you smelling like same-sex matrimonial bliss.
The new scent, I LOVE NEW YORK for Marriage Equality, will start flying off the shelves in July.
Details after the jump on this eau d’Equality!
Bond No. 9 describes the scent as “Soft and sensual, this modern-day woody-spicy, gender free scent opens with enticing gustatory notes—mandarin, nutmeg, plum, and cinnamon bark. These segue into a contemporary wedding-bouquet heart of classic rose and jasmine laced with ginger lily. Then, just as a great marriage gradually evolves over time, this one endures with deeper, rich forest base-notes—cashmere wood, sandalwood, and that seductive tree resin, amber.”
We like that there's something in it for the gays and for the lesbians. A little ginger lily for us, a little tree resin for them. Perfect!
I LOVE NEW YORK for Marriage Equality is available in stores on July 24, 2012 and will be sold at Bond No. 9’s five New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, bondno9.com. Price: 100ml, $175; 50ml, $105.
Let us know how it smells on your wedding day. (And on your wedding night.)
