It's only the first day of filming and things are already looking dramatic at the revamped The X-Factor!
Reports TMZ:
Britney Spears walked off the set of "X Factor" moments ago ... and according to several people in the audience, she was upset after a contestant butchered her song, "Hold It Against Me."
Britney did not come back immediately ... and four contestants auditioned in front of the remaining judges ... and an empty seat.
But after getting wind of the hyper-speed-spreading rumors and rising hashtag "#BritneyWalksOff," Britney took to Twitter (likely from backstage while contestants where still auditioning to her open chair) to say she just left for a break.
"#Britneywalksoff??? LOL I was just taking a break people. I am having the BEST time!"
Guess Brit Brit is the only one allowed to butcher that song?
