West Hollywood's The Abbey -- voted world's best gay bar by Logo -- is holding three days of filming open to the public as its contribution to the "It Gets Better" project.

WHO: A community concerned about LGBT teen suicide, who wants them to know that It Gets Better.

WHAT: In the wake of the recent gay suicide epidemic, The Abbey, with help from Pristine Videos and with the support of The City of West Hollywood and The Trevor Project, will transform its side bar into a video studio for three nights, encouraging the community to film videos of support for Dan Savage’s“It Gets Better Project.” We currently are reaching out to prominent members of the community and talent, confirmations will be forthcoming.

In addition to contributing videos, The Abbey also will hold raffles to benefit The Trevor Project. Celebs who recently have created videos for the campaign include President Obama, Adam Lambert, Margaret Cho, Michael Kors, Ryan Murphy, Ellen Degeneres, Kathy Griffin, Colin Farrell, Perez Hilton, and countless others.

This is the first open video call event of this kind – the Abbey hopes to film, document and upload an unprecedented number of videos. Raffle items include an iPad, 1 week stay at the Taheima Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Macy’s gift card, and photo/video services from You…In Pictures.
