If you've have managed to avoid the entire reaches of the Internet today and wish to continue living under a cock away from word of the latest contestant to be sashayed away from Dancing With The Stars, do not follow the jump.

The #TeamChaz hashtag should be fading into the digital ether this week now that Chaz Bono has been booted from Dancing With The Stars. The drama and mainstream resistance to his tenure on the show had us talking even weeks before DWTS premiered, but Chaz took it all in stride (a ballroom dance move), even after last night's elimination.

During a visit to Good Morning America on Wednesday, Chaz said, "I got a lot of references from him [DWTS judge Bruno Tonioli] about things that would indicate the fact that I’m overweight, you know, a roundness," Bono said. "I was called a basketball, a penguin, an Ewok, and I just didn’t appreciate it. If you want to critique my dancing and give me some constructive advice so I can try to improve the next time that I’m there, that would be great. But I don’t really know how to be less penguish, and so I kind of took offense to that."

GLAAD issued a response on Wednesday applauding Chaz's courage and commenting on the precedent he has set for the American trans community.

“Chaz bravely put on his dancing shoes and became a fan favorite, showing millions of viewers that he’s like any other guy," GLAAD President Mike Thomspon said in a written statement. "Though it’s sad to see him go, Chaz has helped countless people better understand what it means to be transgender. He should be commended for both his courage and determination. We hope Chaz’s time on Dancing with the Stars is just the beginning in a long line of transgender-inclusive programming across the media.”

And of course Cher released a deluge of Tweets upon the Internet following her son's departure.

Dear Instinct Staff,

What's the point of a "Spoiler Alert" if the title gives away the spoiler?
