Updated, Thursday at 3:40 p.m. PST

So it looks like we won't be getting a Macbook. Or a new car.

It's been revealed that the "Pay Away The Gay" Craigslist ad was, in fact, a hoax.  More after the jump!

Jamie McGonnigal of Talk About Equality did some pretty major investigative reporting and got to the source of the post (and it's very apologetic poster).

Check out what and WHO he found, here!

If this ad (after the jump) is legit then not only is this kid's father an idiot, but the kid is an entrepreneurial genius!

Apparently a concerned father is "paying away the gay" by buying his kid presents in exchange for...not having sexy times with guys??

Check out this brilliantly awful Craigslist ad after the jump!

If we "promise" to be less gay, could we get a few presents too? We could use that new Macbook! We won't even download gay porn onto it. (Lies!)

Also, we'd like a new car. Thanks.
