Days Of Our Lives has finally caught up with the new millennium and aired its first gay kiss on Thursday's episode. Better late than never, right? (We'll cut the show some slack because it gave us that smoldering shirtless stud slideshow yesterday. And no, we did not lisp any "s" in that sequence, thankyouverymuch.) Follow the jump for a picture of the first same-sex smooch to grace Days of our Lives!

The smooch is shared between series regular Will Horton and some stranger (how modern and edgy!) named Neil at a party. Days has been attempting to reinvigorate its brand by pumping up a gay storyline since last summer, but this marks the first time anything resembling same-sex action has taken place on the soap. Guess it does get better for gay teens!

I love it because these are the days of our lives we deal with all kind of changes and walk with whatever life throws at us rather Gay, Cancer,HIV, Death,Laughter, tears, or just envy. Its all life and knows what path we walk for any given time period. I hope it becomes the best thing that ever happened to him and he finds love in a supportive friend Sonny with a couple of other twist and turns, one being the gay basher coming out the closet with a love interest in Sonny, can Will figure out his real love interest should be Sonny instead of the ugly guy he kissing. The real plot should be he missing a father figure let get EJ to hit the sack with after he drugs him and gets him drunk that's true black mail material.
