I'm sorry, but I've been distracted all morning. If you haven't yet heard of the latest swimming news out of the world championships in Rome, brace yourselves for two post-lunch hours of very unproductive work time.

Seems those skin-tight ultramodern suits swimmers wear these days are prone to ripping, and just that happened to US swimmer Ricky Berens during yesterday's 400 meter freestyle relay preliminaries. Compared to Janet's pierced lady-pec, this wardrobe malfunction is more my speed, having occured right down the small of the back to reveal Berens' coin slot.

After a morning of intense studying, I've decided I prefer the ripped suits on swimmers, though I would also have enjoyed seeing it happen during the backstroke. Thoughts?

FUN! I still think we should bring back the speedo. The Summer games just weren't the same this last time around.

Take a good look, because Rome will be the last place we will see these suits. This weekend FINA, the governing body of international swimming, banned the suits from future competition, because of their ability to allow swimmers to easily break records. From now on, we'll have to make due with guys in just Speedos!
