While we applaud anyone that has a healthy appreciation for women (where would be without our girls, after all?), this is a bit much.

Gay members of the unofficial Greek chapter MIAKA (Men Interested In Alpha Kappa Alpha) are suing the National Pan-Hellenic Council sorority chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha, with claims of homophobia and gender discrimination.

These dudes REALLY want to be members of AKA. More after the jump.

Alpha Kappa Alpha is a traditionally African-American sorority; it was founded in 1908 at Howard University.

It bars all men, gay or straight, from joining.

That apparently didn't stop the MIAKAs from showing their love. MIAKAs emulate the sorority's more famous rituals, wearing pink and green (the sorority's official colors) along with pearls. They also raise their pinkies and have appropriated AKA's famous call "skee wee."

It doesn't appear that the AKA's have officially asked their admirers to cease and desist with the flattery, but the MIAKA's clearly don't feel like they're getting the full AKA experience.

So they're suing.

What do you think, Instincters? Are the men of MIAKA crossing the line in the name of sisterhood?

The will never be AKA's. If they were Tranagender, it would be different. They need to take their own "sorority", chillout.

I think a more fitting law suit would be race discrimination. While NPC sororities have members of all races, AKA discriminates against white women.
