Forget Obama and Romney, the vote for PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door 2012 was the vote we really cared about!
We’re happy to say that our repeated “clicking of the mouse”—and that’s not an effective euphemism, but we’re going with it—resulted in a victory for 28 year-old-gay Brooklynite, Zachary Koval!

We will happily give up meat if Zachary teaches us how to enjoy vegan sausage.

"No animals were harmed in the making of this body," says Koval, who attributes his buff physique to running, swimming, biking, participating in mud races, rock climbing, doing yoga, and—of course—eating vegan meals. "I love the feeling that I'm doing good (for myself, for animals, and for the planet) with every meal. I feel alive and healthy and rarely get sick."
For the stalkers, or as we prefer to be called—those with “gumption”—Zachary, an actor, performs with the Theatre Group Dzieci and works at the Upper West Side's vegan Café Blossom. (You’re welcome.)
Zachary’s also part of New York's 50-plus–member gay vegan potluck group. He says it’s a great way to show meat-eating friends how great vegan food is—and, of course, it's also a great way to meet his biggest turn-on: vegan guys.
