George Clooney, who will play LGBT ally David Boies in the upcoming L.A. stage production of Dustin Lance Black's 8, believes it's only a matter of time before the final nail is hammered into the coffin of marriage equality opposition.

Speaking with E!'s Marc Malkin, Clooney reiterated his support for same-sex marriage, calling it the "final leg" of the country's civil rights movement.

"I think the world is changing and it's becoming less and less of an issue and I think it shouldn't be long now. I think younger people are looking at this like, 'Who cares?'

"I do believe it's generational, much like the civil rights movement. Young people started taking to the streets and things changed. This really is the final leg of the civil rights movement."

I disagree.
Centuries after the founding of this nation and we're still fighting the freedom of religion battles. Freedom OF and Freedom FROM religion still needs to be set in stone.
