We've come a long way when the Super Bowl has more gay attractions than Pride weekend! GLSEN is the latest gay name to be attached to the sporting event by securing a spot for its "Think Before You Speak" anti-bullying campaign PSA to play in the stadium for ticket holders. Details follow.

The spot will play on the jumbotron at Indianapolis's Lucas Oil Stadium. A statement from GLSEN reads:

“GLSEN is thrilled to share the Think Before You Speak campaign’s message of respect with tens of thousands of football fans attending the Super Bowl this year,” said GLSEN Executive Director Dr. Eliza Byard. “The PSA campaign featuring Hilary Duff, Wanda Sykes and the NBA’s Grant Hill has already reached millions of Americans across the country and we are truly grateful for this opportunity to increase awareness among a new kind of audience about the negative impact of anti-gay slurs.”

This is amazing. So glad sports and Super Bowl fans will see this. Let's hope they pay attention.

For all those who have been bullied and persecuted and are not alive today to see this and be a part of this I mourn. I sincerely hope that this announcement is broadcast at the extremely loud volume that all the obnoxious commercials seem to be and that America finally embraces what this is saying.
