While it's difficult to tell whether or not this website is a joke, GodHatesShrimp.com makes an astute point regardless of its seriousness.
When fundies make an argument against equality for the GLBT, they issue a patent response cut from the Book of Leviticus, either 20:13 (If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.) or 18:22 (Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin). Both quick mentions are scribbled (almost always illegibly and with spelling errors) on poster board and thrown in our faces, whether at a court house, a performance of RENT, or a soldier's funeral.
However, the religionists (I have a hard time calling them Christian) who base their lives and judge ours around these two archaic (and, as some argue, misinterpreted) verses have an easy time turning their shoulder on the other items Leviticus declares abominations, like shellfish (as was cleverly included in Prop 8: The Musical).
As written in Leviticus 11:10 - 12:
"And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters. They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you."
So now we have GodHatesShrimp.com, which is either a group of religionists going all orthodox and following every point Leviticus raises (will they sell their daughters into sex trade as well?), or a snarky venue to prove that anyone who uses their interpretations of the Bible as an assault on our civil rights are hypocrites.
