Hudson Taylor, the Division 1 all-American wrestler turned Columbia University coach, has launched a website dedicated to bridging the gap between young LGBT and straight athletes. Follow the jump for video details of Hudson's new swoon-inspiring pet project.
Hudson first caught our attention years ago when he started wearing an HRC equality sticker on the side of his wrestling helmet during matches. (It even inspired a straight high school wrestler to do the same.) Now, Hudson is proving his hetero-allegiance to the gay community wasn't just a phase by launching Athlete Ally, which asks athletes to sign a pledge promising their tolerance.
Says Hudson: I created the Pledge so that we, as an athletic community, can take proactive steps to end homophobia in sports. When we inspire entire teams and athletic departments to commit to a new standard of athletic integrity, we will change the environment in locker rooms and on playing fields. Adding your name to the growing list of supporters is the first step to make a difference
