On Wednesday we reported that Kansas Pastor Curtis Knapp basically filled out and filed a work order request form asking the U.S. government to follow one quick Leviticus passage and exterminate all the gays. Today, he's explaining himself to CNN (and not exactly strengthening his reputation in the process).
Sure, you can likely guess the typical homophobic "clarifications" Pastor Knapp makes in his mainstream media interview, but it's still fun to follow the jump for your daily dose of lunacy. We promise!
Says Knapp:
"We punish pedophilia. We punish incest. We punish polygamy and various things. It's only homosexuality that is lifted out as an exemption."

Homosexuality does not intentionally hurt children and families like pedophilia, incest, and polygamy do. That's why homosexuality is no longer a crime in the US. He also forgot to mention that adultery is not punished, either. Isn't adultery bad? So, I don't know where he gets off being on his high horse. He needs to be locked up in an insane asylum for what he is saying.

The guy is not a Christian. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing. He is nothing more than an ignorant red neck. He's not as polished as Pat Robertson, or Oral Roberts, but an ignorant red neck just the same. He may need to be kept under observation. I suspect he may have a proclivity for 13 yr old fat boys, and a special fondness of sheep.

in the same chapter that knapp uses to defend his appeal it clearly says that 'the people of the land' should do the 'stoning' not the government. i wonder if anyone in his church has ever gone out to eat at a restaurant? do you suppose they killed everyone who was working (on the sabbath)?

James52, no. You don't get to claim that the guy is not a Christian. He is one and claims to be one. He is like so many other followers of Jesus, full of ignorance and hate. You are just afraid that he discredits the Christian fairy tale. And he does.

Ok...we can do that as long as we take all of Leviticus and make that the law of the land. That will significantly lower the population.
