Apparently Lady Gaga has run out of f**ks to give with regards to this fur controversy.

She released the following statement (squarely aimed at PETA and her critics) on her website, according to TMZ. Check it out after the jump.

TMZ quotes Mother Monster as saying:

"I want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views, and I will always support your philosophies about life. I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE.

Particularly one that I respect. 'Animal Rights.' I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, 'kermit' and not to mention meat, that I have already worn.

You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance.

I respect your views, please respect mine. And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry. And Kim Kardashian is fabulous."

"I do not support violent, abusive..." what a crock. What the fk do you think those poor animals go through sitting in small cages waiting to die?

Lets just get one thing in the open here. PETA does not support animal rights. They feel no one should have a pet and that it would be better to kill an animal before allowing it to be in a loving home. If you don't believe me, do some Google searches on PETA and look at the sites that are not affiliated.
Sorry folks its true!!

Does she know that in China and Korea, DOGS like the one she is holding are brutally skinned for their fur -- which then goes to the US in the form of coats, and fur trim.

I truly respected Gaga as a savvy and educated woman. . .until I read her statement. Sorry, G, but your comments are indicative of someone who is sadly misinformed, unaware and callous. I'll miss you, but there is a plethora of talented and CARING artists out there who use their high-profile status to do some GOOD in the world, other than just making money. FYI. . .Kim K. is NOT among them.

Always had a great respect for her ; thought she was incredibly smart. If she thinks fur does not hurt animals shes dumber then a rock. And if she feels Peta is the number one animal rights group shes lost her mind. Before speaking on such a volatile subject one should do way more research. Obviously she is just as brilliant as Kim K and the rest of that clan. Will always turn her music off from now on.

I think many are missing the point. Even though Gaga is wearing faux fur, she will not respond to PETA. She wears leather from mammals and reptiles and she eats meat. Her point is to ask for forgiveness for wearing a fur would be hypocritical and diminish the purpose served by the other sorts of animal product use. I believe in the humane treatment of animals but not in human rights for animals. Gaga is one smart lady to try to show the hypocrisy being pushed through some of these animal activists. I would bet very few of them would NOT take a medicine developed using animals if they needed it. Who are they to draw the line?

After using peta when it suited her to give her one image she now takes up another, biy hypocritical to talk about spending flour money on starving children the extortionate amount that is spent promoting her and her entourage, and the expense people who have her on their show have to go to for the scenes she copies from Dali? As for the above comment it is hardly giving the same rights to animals to not have them skinned alive, anally electrocuted and kept in miserable conditions going insane with frustration is it, a lot of animal rights people are against all animal cruelty but fur for fashion is pointless and makes people less than human as it is more vicious and unfeeling than animal activity
