The bar for her wedding was set high after Keesha Patterson proposed to her girlfriend Rowan Ha in one of the most unforgettable settings imaginable: President Obama's Election Night Celebration in Chicago.
The couple's joy manifested in even more tears during the jubilant event and is made even more poignant by the fact that they are returning to their home in Maryland as equal citizens now that marriage equality is the law of the land in that state.
What a great picture to sum up the 2012 elections, wouldn't you say?
