LGBT-Friendly Miss USA Crowned After Revealing Support For Trans Contestants |

Miss Rhode Island Olivia Culpo received the Miss USA crown on Sunday night, moments after answering a question about the inclusion of transgender contestants.
After asked if she thought it would be fair if a transgender woman won the Miss USA title, Olivia responded, "I do think it would be fair..." because "there are so many people who have a need to change for a happier life. I do accept that because I believe it's a free country."
The crowd met her answer with an eruption of cheers.
Congratulations, Miss USA!
