A gay Republican got some phone time with Rush Limbaugh today and it's more than a little painful. (GOProud was no doubt thrilled.)

I want to give this guy a big hug! This guy is a free thinker. He sees the big picture. I am a conservative female. I happen to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman...but keep reading. I also believe that gay couples should have all the rights and benefits that opposite sex couples do. In fact, the only difference between this gentleman and my views comes down to the use of the word marriage. That's it! I know very well from the political groups that I attend, that I am by far, not the only Republican that feels this way. This caller is filled with common sense and can be a uniter! Someone with my views and someone with his views can come together, and bring some resolution to this very bitter issue. Wouldn't that be great?

I would love for those of us with differing opinions to be able to find common ground, to unite as you say, Es. But I must ask you--and ask you to think about your answer before you respond--if it was you, your loved one, your life that was allotted some "other" designation that afforded the same rights would you be OK with that?

self haters still exist, they still do not look at the whole picture. If he liked Sarah Palin that should tell you one thing. If had been any other gay caller that was not on the Romney bandwagon he would not have even gotten on the air I guess there are still GOOD OLD BOYS AND GIRLS in the GOProud organization. Until they realize that there is no such thin as separate but equal. there is no equal. Another Log Cabin Republican ASS kisser. this Robert caller and Es need to realize that you cannot continue the same Republican platform and move forward as a community.
