Madonna fans in Dubai echoed many of Elton John's recent statements with a hearty round of boos to greet the Material Girl after she started her MDNA tour more than 90 minutes late on Sunday.

According to Express (Yourself?):

The superstar kept the crowd waiting for more than 90 minutes before she appeared onstage at the du Arena on Yas Island in Dubai on Sunday (03Jun12).

When she finally showed up, she was greeted with boos and scattered applause from impatient fans.

A source tells The Sun, "It's pretty rare for locals to boo an act, they must have been seriously unimpressed. This will have cost Madonna loads in fines. She made a big effort to win back the crowd once she had arrived though."

Isn't 90 minutes late actually early for Madonna?

i would not wait that long to hear a mediocre, has-been singer. Madonna was done in the 1990's. She needs to retire, she's looking way to old.

Was it her or technical problems. Geez how fast we turn on stars today. She is the diva one moment and a BITCH the next. FYI, she has never claimed to be nothing but.
