Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning, Madge said:
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even know about it. I didn't know about it until I left. When I left I found out about it in the elvator. I was really surprised, I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't happy about it. I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity, it just seemed negative."
"It's one of those things. It's such a teenager, in a way, irrelevant thing to do in one respect, but on the other hand there was such a feeling of love and unity there, what was the point? It was just out of place."

Madonna kissed Britney and Christina on the VMAs. MTV has a teenager audience but the Super Bowl has a familiar audience. It was the half time show, not a private presentation. I think Madonna is right, the middle finger of MIA didn't harm the performnce though
