You read that correctly folks. After the jump, learn all about about one man's plight that began three years ago.

Wesley Warren from Las Vegas is asking for donations to help him afford a $1 million surgery to remove 100 pounds of tissue from his scrotum. Doctors are puzzled by what may have caused the rare condition known as scrotal elephantiasis, which typically develops in people living in the tropical sectors of Africa and Asia. The weight and strain on the penis could permanently damage it, which is why the surgery needs to happen sooner than later.

Sympathizers can direct donations to the aptly named e-mail address This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Thanks, America! Just another example of a human being who should get treatment (without questions asked!) but can't because profits won't be made.

We hope he gets the surgery and after he should donate his scrotum to members of Congress. We could use more leaders with balls anyway.

Anything that can't make a profit isn't sustainable.

Even if you make everybody pay for it with a government that acts like a thief, you just turn the problem into a bigger one, like exploding deficits.

Being able to make a profit is simply the measure that supply and demand are in balance. That doesn't mean demand is satisfied. Demand for _anything_ would never be satisfied if it were free. People suffer, life sucks. Deal with it. You wanna go all compassionate? Donate something yourself instead of waiting to be taxed to pay for it. Otherwise stop trying to steal from people that have their act together better than you do.
