Wow. With Brandon McInerney's retrial announcement bringing the story of murdered gay teen Larry King back into the media focus, jurors from the original mistrial are coming forward to support the murderer. One, who identified herself to the L.A. Times as Lisa S. while wearing "Free Brandon" bracelet, says it was actually victim Larry King who was the bully.

Reports the L.A. Times:

One juror, identified only as Lisa S. because she did not want her whole name used, said many jurors came to believe that King was bullying McInerney by making unwanted sexual advances

"This wasn't about him being gay,'' she said. "This was about bullying. There was a ton of evidence that Larry was acting inappropriately with other kids at school, and they didn't do anything to stop him."

As for the new case, she added: "It was overcharged and an abuse of power, and I don't think a new jury will see it any different."

Brandon admits to shooting Larry King twice in the back of the head in 2008.

Lisa was joined by a handful of her fellow jurors (all of whom wore the "Free Brandon" bracelet) at yesterday's retrial announcement.

"Free Brandon"? They think he should walk?

Well, that explains the verdict I guess.

Premeditated murder is such an appropriate response to being inappropriately hit on, apparently.

Assuming Lisa S is sincere (and ignoring for a moment whether her characterization of the situation is accurate), she is saying that homicide is an appropriate response to sexual harassment. Pretty sure we don't want to go there.

So if its ok to murder someone for sexually harassing you then surely i should be able to murder all the people who used to bash me at school right? I don't think so! And i bet the jury wouldn't let me off if i did!

Didn't the victim 'sexually harass' the Murderer in response to the Murderer and his friends beating him up repeatedly in the first place? But it's not ok to fight back against bullies by blowing kisses at them? That instead makes you the bully and such a worse bully you should be killed and your killer set free? Standing up to bullies is bullying now?

I agree that murder is not an appropriate response to unwanted sexual advances. However, I've read elsewhere that the defendant was sexually abused by a relative, which makes the situation messier.
