Ladies…ladies! Let’s not fight.

Melissa Etheridge and her former partner and mother to her two children, Tammy Lynn Michaels are in the midst of a nasty partner and child support/custody battle.

Generally we know better than to get in the middle of a fight between two lesbians, but the latest financial details piqued our interest.

Apparently Tammy is pissed that she’s only receiving $23,000 a month.

Say what?

More after the jump.

TMZ reports that Tammy “claims she's barely scraping by on the $23,000 a month Melissa currently pays her in partner and child support -- and now, she wants a massive raise ...

TMZ continues: “Tammy just filed the papers in the couple's infamously bitter separation claiming Melissa makes roughly $177,882.00 PER MONTH ... and got Tammy accustomed to an extravagant lifestyle while they were together ... so the $23k is incredibly unfair. Tammy -- a former actress -- also claims she has ‘virtually no savings’ and would need ‘extensive retraining’ if she were to rejoin the workforce.”

Hmm…now we’re not in the midst of this situation—Thank God (and our penises)—but $23,000 a month sounds like a pretty solid chunk of change.

Sure you’ve gotta spend some of it on your kids, which is admittedly a buzz kill, but even then—it’s not like Tammy should be destitute.

That being said, maybe she’s entitled to a larger percentage of Melissa’s wealth. The two weren’t legally married (that was more of a California problem than anything else), but they had the commitment ceremony and the whole shebang. (See what we did there?) Maybe, she’s entitled to what a wife would be given in the same heterosexual circumstance.

But guess what? We came up with the best way to solve this—actually the best PERSON to solve this: Ryan Murphy.

Couldn’t he throw an acting gig Tammy’s way? She was utter perfection as “Nicole Julian” on the short-lived Popular (Murphy’s cult-hit on the WB).

Put her to work on American Horror Story, or Glee, or his new series The New Normal.  She wouldn’t have to pay for “extensive retraining,” she’d have a well-paying job, and we’d hopefully get her Nicole Julian-esque bitchiness back on our screens.

Win-win!!
