New Poll Finds Majority Of New Jersey Voters Support Putting Marriage Equality On The Ballot |

A new poll from Kean University and NJ Speaks shows that a majority of voters in New Jersey support Gov. Chris Christie's call for the civil rights of a minority to be voted on by the majority.
The survey, released this morning, finds 57 percent of voters in the state support a marriage equality referendum while 32 percent oppose putting civil rights up to a ballot vote. A question simply asking if voters support or oppose marriage equality showed 48 percent of voters in favor with 37 percent against providing the right to same-sex couples.
