It was trick or treat time for local children at a stop on the statewide bus tour in support of North Carolina's anti-gay, anti-equality Amendment One. Details follow.

Anti-gay group VoteForMarriageNC knew the only way to get folks lined up for its hateful cause was to offer local children free sweets and toys.

Pam Spaulding lifts the veil of those behind this bus tour's tactic:

Who’s behind this Values Bus? Tami Fitzgerald, Chair of VoteFORMarriageNC.com, is proud to hang out with the professional bigots at the Family Research Council, which is of course, headed up by Tony Perkins. Back in 2010, Perkins “couldn’t recall” hanging out with/speaking to the Council of Conservative Citizens (photo), another org —  like the FRC — that has been declared a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Apparently he passes muster with Vote for Marriage NC even though Perkins also procured the mailing list of former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke. Peas in a pod, I guess that’s fine with Tami. 

And we're the ones being accused of indoctrination.

I am from the great state NC. But right now ???? I am so ashamed to admit that. What about equality for all people.We all bleed ,red. But, then think about it, all people think about is their external selfs. This group of of haters should be fined for, well getting in the way of growing up and loving yourself. They certainly don~t. I am saving----->
