Jennifer Tyrrell, the former Boy Scouts den leader who was ousted for being gay, has launched a new campaign calling on the CEOs of AT&T and Ernst & Young—two extremely LGBT-friendly compaines—to end the organization's discrimination against gay people.
Writes Jennifer in the campaign's announcement:
"Both AT&T and Ernst & Young have 100% rankings on HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, and both companies have been honored as a top place to work for LGBT employees. In addition, both AT&T and Ernst & Young have active LGBT employee groups. If Randall Stephenson and James Turley have been so successful at leading companies committed to LGBT rights, they can use their power as board members of the Boy Scouts of America to help change a discriminatory policy that prevents families like mine from being involved in scouts."
GLAAD is backing the campaign and has helped launch a petition directed at the CEOs who moonlight as Boy Scouts Directors.
