Openly-gay soccer stud David Testo has received a landmark honor in the form of a nomination to the U.S. Soccer Athlete Council. Details follow.
Testo, who came out publicly in November, says he'd use the position to spark change in the sports world.
"I would be honored to work with those great people and players and hopefully make a difference for the gay community in soccer and those athletes that might be struggling," Testo said of the nomination. He is up for one of 18 available spots on the council.
