Spreading the "Christian" values of hate, discrimination before an estimated crowd of 1.5 million, Pope Benedict told folks gathered for Spain's World Youth Day that only straight people open to God's love are worthy of marital bliss.

"The Lord calls many people to marriage, in which a man and a woman, in becoming one flesh, find fulfilment in a profound life of communion. For this reason, to acknowledge the beauty and goodness of marriage is to realize that only a setting of fidelity and indissolubility, along with an openness to God's gift of live, is adequate to the grandeur and dignity of marital love."

It doesn't seem God was happy with Benedict's anti-gay speech, however, as a thunderstorm sporting high winds flipped at least one nearby tent and was deemed threatening enough that the Papal speech had to be cut short!

Is it just me or does he look like a devil / demon in that photo? With hate like that coming out of his mouth he very well may be.

I guess the gay agenda relies on lies, so this gross manipulation of the facts is not surprising...

The pope's intended speech was in now way "homophobic" or even mentioned homosexuality in anyway. Speaking to a crowd of young Catholics about the Sacrament of Marriage - one of the seven Sacraments of the Church (I am not talking about state marriage, before you get on your victimhood horse) - at a Catholic youth festival where many are entering the age where they will be falling in love and getting married is not "homophobic". How can rejoicing in what has always been the definition of Christian marriage be "hate" in anyway? You live in some twisted world.

Your distortion of the facts, though, could easily be termed "Romaphobic" - something that's been present in the world ever since Jesus Christ told his followers "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you" (Mt 5) and "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me." (Jn 15)
