Wow. April Fools is really messing with my head today.
First the RNC mailer, next April Fools jokes that Terrell Owens came out of the closet (I wish), and now Queerty says it got its hands all over a press release from Ricky Martin's legal team stating that he did not come out and that a police investigation is underway to determine who hacked the pop star's website to issue a coming out statement.
"While I am very supportive of the homosexual community, and truly appreciate the outpouring of support from fans all over the world, I am not a homosexual myself. I cannot comment further while there is a police investigation taking place, but I did not authorize any statement to be released on my website on my behalf. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused my fans. Amo a todos ustedes."
Are we being pranked?
Queerty is reporting that Ricky's attorneys will hold a press conference later in the day (ROFL) to dispel the rumors, though I don't trust 'em as far as I can throw them (not far) as I cannot confirm any other news source receiving the "statement."
Thoughts, people?
