Mark Regnerus made a household name for himself after touting dangerously flawed anti-gay talking points that attempted to undo decades worth of progress benefiting same-sex parents and their children. Now, as the University of Texas—where Regnerus holds his title—investigates what GLAAD calls a "scientifically unsound paper," the professor remains defiant.

"A team consisting of leading family researchers was involved in developing the research protocol," Regnerus wrote in an email to the Austin Statesman. "This academic team merged scholars across disciplines and ideological lines in a spirit of civility and reasoned inquiry, and the protocol developed by this team was subsequently approved by the University of Texas' Institutional Review Board."

"Normal procedures were followed for obtaining outside support, as many researchers do."

The University says it will wrap up its investigation within 60 days of the complaint.

It almost makes you wanna start a redefine "Regnerus" campaign a la Dan Savage's successful Santorum campaign, doesn't it?
