Ashley Broadway, the lesbian spouse of U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Heather Mack who was denied membership in the Ft. Bragg military spouses club based on her sexual orientation, has been offered a "guest membership" in the group.

Cute.

Check out the Association of Bragg Officers' Spouses' letter to Ashley after the jump.

Stephen Peters, the executive director of the American Military Partner Association isn't impressed by the spouses group's offer, telling Buzzfeed in statement:

"Ashley is not a 'guest' military spouse. She is a military spouse, plain and simple. So the idea that the organization, in order to end the negative attention they are getting because of their outright discrimination, wants to give her a 'guest membership' is not only offensive, but ridiculous. The ABOS openly admits a military ID card is not listed as a requirement, yet they continue to deny her full membership."

What do you think, Instincters? Will Ashley receive full membership once the group fully "reviews" their bylaws and policies?
