Artist Shepard Fairey's work has invigorated the GLBT community for the better part of the past year as we run the soles of our Marc Jacobs boots down in marches, protests and rallies across the country. It only made sense, then, for grassroots civil rights organization FAIR and entertainment group HOMOtracker to tap Fairey and his iconic fist of empowerment (no pun intended) for an auction benefiting marriage equality activism.
On November 12 at the Andaz in West Hollywood, the Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project will kick off the online auction featuring more than 80 Fairey prints customized with authentic and emotional personalizations from celebrities such as Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Robert De Niro, RuPaull, Lance Bass, Gavin Newsom and plenty more.
As a sneak peak, Instinct has an exclusive look at two celebrity-customized prints from the gorgeous Chris Evans and longtime community inspiration, Lynda Carter:

The online auction will be held at charitybuzz.com and will run from Nov. 10-Dec. 9. Proceeds will benefit grassroots organizations working for marriage equality in California and across the country.
