In November, T.I. found his way into gay blogosphere headlines for defending Tracy Morgan against those critical of the comedian's anti-gay stand-up routine. "If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace," T.I. told Vibe.
Today, cradled by the wave of acceptance generated by President Obama's big splash, T.I. is singing a slightly different tune.
“Just to speak honestly, and being frank, I don’t care," T.I. responds when asked about marriage equality by Sway, host of MTV's Rap Fix. "I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it if it’s not something that directly affects you."
“If it doesn’t affect you, then what difference does it make what other people are doing with their lives? I think that you should be able to do whatever you want to do. I don’t see how it matters one way or another.”
What do you think of T.I.'s comments? Best he could do?
