The New York Times is giving its editorial position on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to take on two marriage equalilty cases this session.

Check out their thoughts after the jump.

You can read the full text of the NYT's position, here, but we thought their final statement drives their point home:

"Public opinion is shifting on this issue as more people recognize the inherent wrong in a last bastion of official discrimination. The most important hearts and minds to be won at this point belong to the nine justices."

We truly hope the hearts and minds of those justices will be won over by the legal teams presenting our cases.
