Rumors that Clay Aiken and George Takei were cast in the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice were confirmed Wednesday morning. But will they use the platform and audience with Donald Trump to call out his homophobia?
The other stars who will be flexing their business smarts for charity alongside Aiken (according to MTV):
Racecar driver Michael Andretti, TV and radio personality Adam Carolla, actor Lou Ferrigno, former talk-show host Arsenio Hall, magician Penn Jillette, rocker Dee Snider, "Star Trek" actor George Takei, "American Chopper" star Paul Teutul Sr., actress Tia Carrere, singer Debbie Gibson, "Real Housewives" castmember Teresa Giudice, Victoria Gotti of "Growing Up Gotti," comedian Lisa Lampanelli, model and actress Cheryl Tiegs, Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza, and actress and model Patricia Velasquez round out the cast.
Having two openly-gay celebrities on Trump's flagship TV property means we have double the chance of the toupee getting read for his anti-gay positions (our closest bet lies in the always-outspoken Takei). During the 2011 media tour promoting last season's Celebrity Apprentice finale a.k.a. his early flirtation with running for president, Trump infamously remarked that "they [same-sex couples] should not be able to marry."
Do you think Clay Aiken or George Takei will rock the Celebrity Apprentice boat this season?
