The U.S. Supreme Court announced this morning its list of cases for argument and there was no mention of a review for Hollingsworth v. Perry (formerly Perry v. Brown), more commonly referred to as the Prop. 8 case.

More after the jump.

Prop8

There is no deadline for the Court to issue a decision about whether it will hear the case or not, but we could know more on Friday, December 7. And we are staying optimistic!

Of course, you can always check with us for the latest news, or AFER (American Foundation for Equal Rights) has the latest news, plus comprehensive coverage and commentary on the topic.

This case, along with several cases challenging the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), were distributed for discussion at the Justices’ private Conference of Friday, November 30, 2012, and it was thought we might here further news today, but that has not come to be.

Don't bust out the rice or champagne just yet.
