Thanks to super-slueth commenters here and at Buzzfeed, we've tracked the origin of this beyond-adorable children's book to right here in America. That's right: it's made in the good ol' USA, but translated in German in the found copy seen in this post before being translated back to English. The origin  may have been lost in translation, but the message rings clear.

Just when we thought our cold, black hearts couldn't get any darker after the news out of New Hampshire, screen-captures from an adorable children's book teaching about homosexuality make their way around the Internet to catch our attention. Follow the jump to satisfy your sweet tooth for the day!

Great reporting/reposting except for the fact that, if whomever posted this had actually read the content of the original Buzzfeed post it's lifted from, it's an AMERICAN kid's book called "Daddy's Roommate" from 20 years ago that's been translated into German for sale overseas. EPIC JOURNALISM FAIL!
