National Suicide Week is already in full swing and to ensure the mood isn't entirely somber, the Trevor Project will host an upbeat (it will be hosted by the effervescent Onch, after all) party at Yogurt Stop in West Hollywood to call attention to the week of awareness.
The details are:
Thursday, September 9, 8 p.m. - Midnight
Yogurt Stop, 8803 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood
10% of all sales benefit the Trevor Project
The Trevor Project reminds us that next week is National Suicide Prevention Week (September 5 - 11) and provides us with some ideas we can help kick it off before we head into the holigay weekend, including:
- Send a Trevor Survival Kit to your local
school, church or community center
- Lead Lifeguard Workshops in your
community
- Volunteer with your local Trevor
Project Ambassadors Council
- Call your Senators and ask for
their support of the Safe Schools Improvement Act
- Text TREVOR to 85944 to make a $5
donation to The Trevor Project!
