Cody Rogers, 18, was attacked by group of young men at a party based on his sexual orientation.
He was beaten to the point of unconsciousness. Unfortunately, Oklahoma, where Rogers lives, is one of 19 states in the U.S. that doesn’t include protections for sexual orientation in their hate crime bills.
Rogers is intent on changing that.
Check out the video after the jump!
From Fox 23:
Rogers shared a photo of himself after the assault on Facebook; the picture went viral.
Cody has since launched a Facebook page titled "Help Stop the Stomping," aimed at the protection of Oklahoma's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) residents. Check it out to lend your support!
