Uh oh. Looks like certain police officer wasn’t being too vigilant while trolling for fresh meat on the aptly named DaddyHunt.com.
Fredericksburg, Virginia Police Captain Brent M. Taylor, 46, was indicted for having sex with a 17-year-old teen that he met on the social networking site.
Details after the jump.
Cpt. Taylor maintains that he believed the victim was 18. (He didn’t check the teen’s ID?? You’re a cop! What is this amateur hour?)
Taylor picked up the teen on Jan. 6 in a pre-arranged location in Fairfax County, Virginia. He then proceeded to take him to a Motel 6, where the two had sex at two different points during the day.
Yes, we know you’re stuck on the Motel 6 detail—we were, too, but there's more. Focus!
Cpt. Taylor left the teen that afternoon, promising to return the next morning to take him back to Fairfax County.
Apparently, at some point the teen locked himself out of the motel room (Those pesky locks! Childproof, we bet!) and rather than waiting in the lobby or getting an extra key, he decided to walk down the U.S. 17 highway, where he was picked up by police.
He explained that he’d been locked out of his motel room, but that the man who’d rented the room would be return.
Cpt. Taylor was detained when he returned to the room at 7 a.m. on Jan 7.
Cpt. Taylor, the head of the city’s detective division, was placed on administrative leave and resigned from the police force on Jan. 20. He was indicted this week on charges of using a computer to solicit a minor and crimes against nature. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
And yes, that last line gave us pause too. “Crimes against nature?” We looked it up. You guessed it—it’s a sodomy law. We thought those had been struck down?
Also, again, Motel 6? Really?!
