As Aussie pop tart Kylie Minogue busies herself with finishing up her next studio album, due out in time for the Christmas shopping season, Britain's ITV news network has reported that during the year Kylie took off to battle breast cancer, she still managed to earn £4.5 million (or close to $9 million). Hmmm...we should be so lucky!
It's likely she'll also earn an additional bit of cash if rumors are true that Kelly Rowland is going to record a version of Kylie's 2001 hit, "Can't Get You Out Of My Head." Australia's Daily Telegraph mentioned Rowland, who just released an album last week, will possibly put out her own rendition of the electro-pop classic after the reception she got performing it live in London recently. (Don't forget to read our interview with Kelly from the July issue.)
But back to Kylie's forthcoming album -- she's been working on tracks with 23-year-old Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, as well as Andy Cato of hipster dance act Groove Armada.
Groove Armada are currently enjoying a hit in the U.K. with the retro-lovely toe-tapper, "Song 4 Mutya," featuring ex-Sugababes member Mutya Buena on vocals.
Here's hoping the new Kylie songs are just as groovy!
Check out the video for "Song 4 Mutya":
